This winter, the beloved Sandhill Nursery in Huntsville, Muskoka—known for its spectacular Fall Festival—is transforming once again. But this time, the magic unfolds after dark and extends throughout the winter season. Open now through March 2026, the Forest of Light is an immersive evening experience that invites you to explore the nursery’s enchanting landscape in an entirely new way.

As you wander along illuminated pathways, you'll encounter artistic light installations that blend nature with introspection, creating a contemplative journey through time itself. Whether you visit during the quiet depths of January and February or as spring begins to stir in March, the Forest of Light promises to be an unforgettable addition to Muskoka’s winter offerings.

Experience the Grounds: Winter Activity Passes

New this year, Sandhill Nursery is also opening its grounds for winter days spent outside and evenings that softly glow. With a Winter Activity Pass, you can enjoy:

  • Skating in the heart of the garden centre.
  • Snowshoeing across the expansive Sandhill grounds.
  • Cross-country skiing along our designated ski path (available during daytime only).

Come during the day for fresh air and quiet moments, or visit in the evening when the lights come on and everything feels a little more magical.

Winter Activity Passes are available in store:

  • $8 Adult
  • $5 Youth / Senior
  • Forest of Light ticket holders receive a discounted same-day pass. Skate and snowshoe rentals are available on-site.
