For those seeking a truly immersive stargazing experience, Huntsville is offering a range of stargazing activities from October 17 – November 17, 2024. These immersive programs, led by experienced astronomers and astrophotographers, provide a deep dive into the world of celestial observation, offering hands-on learning opportunities, expert guidance, and the chance to connect with like-minded stargazers from around the world.

  • Thursday October 17 - Moon! Guided Hike (Full Moon - Hunter's Moon) – 7-9pm
  • Friday October 18 - Beginner Stargazing and Astrophotography – 7-9pm
  • Saturday October 19:
    • Astronomy in Action Planetarium Experience – 1-4pm (Planetarium Experience will take place inside Deerhurst Resort)
    • Beginner Stargazing and Astrophotography – 7-9pm

October 26 at Deerhurst Resort – Adventure Park:

  • Saturday, October 26 - Beginner Stargazing and Astrophotography – 7-9pm

October 31 – November 2 at Arrowhead Provincial Park:

November 15 – 17 at Arrowhead Provincial Park:

  • Friday November 15 - Beginner Stargazing and Astrophotography (Full Moon - Beaver Moon) – 7-9pm
  • Saturday November 16 - Journey Through the Night Sky – 7-9pm
  • Saturday November 16 - Journey Through the Night Sky – 9-11pm
  • Sunday November 17 - Beginner Stargazing and Astrophotography – 7-9pm

Guided hikes are limited to 25 visitors per hike. To guarantee your space you must sign up in advance.

Outside of the guided tours you can also experience the cosmos on your own.
