SUMMARY:An Evening With Leeroy Stagger
DESCRIPTION:May 22\, 2026 | Canvas Brewing Co. | 7:30pm \n\n\nJoin the Huntsville Festival of the Arts (HfA) for a special evening of live music with acclaimed Canadian folk artist Leeroy Stagger. This intimate performance at Canvas Brewing Co. serves as a warm-up to HfA’s 2026 summer season—bringing together great music\, local craft beverages\, tasty food and a welcoming community atmosphere. \nABOUT THE ARTIST \nLeeroy Stagger is a beloved\, award-winning Canadian Singer-Songwriter\, Producer and Master Storyteller. Stylistically his music moves between Folk\, Roots and Rocknroll. He is Inspired as much by John Prine and Nick Drake as he is Tom Petty and Joe Strummer. \nFor the past twenty years\, he has been touring North America and Europe\, making records and gaining a strong and\, more importantly\, dedicated following. His music is written through the lens of a spiritual path through addiction and recovery; he cuts a trail through the human condition in only a way that a veteran observational traveller and artist can. \nLeeroy was signed to the infamous Canadian Label True North Records (Bruce Cockburn\, Blackie and The Rodeo Kings) as well as industry mogul Danny Goldberg’s (Nirvana\, Steve Earle\, The Cranberries) Gold Lake Records. \nHe has supported and toured with Steve Earle\, Josh Ritter\, Buffy Sainte Marie\, Frazey Ford\, The Pixies\, Modest Mouse\, The Drive-By Truckers\, Jason Isbell\, and more. He is just as at-home in a cafe with an audience of 50 as he is on a festival stage with an audience of 10\,000. \nThese days Leeroy is raising kids and producing records in his studio\, Neighbourhood Recorders. He is also the host of the weekly Dirty Windshields Radio hour on world famous CKUA radio.

SUMMARY:Jesse Cook
DESCRIPTION:Jesse Cook is a Canadian guitarist\, composer\, and producer\, widely recognized for his groundbreaking approach to world music\, blending flamenco\, jazz\, and other cultural influences. His music has been streamed over 900 million times\, with YouTube views at more than 130 million. Over the past three decades\, Cook has played thousands of concerts in dozens of countries. His five PBS specials continue to air across the U.S.\, all of which highlight music from his 11 albums and 5 live concert DVDs. \nCelebrated for his vast catalog of intricate and original material\, Cook’s concerts resonate deeply with audience members of all backgrounds and age groups. Hesitant when it comes to labeling his eclectic style of music\, Cook comments\, “I don’t think naming it is important. I think if people are moved by it—if it touches their hearts—that’s what matters most to me.” \nMoved they are\, as demand for Cook grows exponentially\, with venue sizes increasing and dates continually being added to his ongoing world tour.

SUMMARY:Grinched! A Holiday Panto
DESCRIPTION:The holiday season just got a whole lot sillier with GRINCHED! THE HOLIDAY PANTO\, a laugh-out-loud twist on Dr. Seuss’s classic tale. \nWritten and directed by Robin Clipsham\, this brand-new production brings together a cast of talented local community members for a side-splitting\, toe-tapping\, family-friendly show filled with outrageous costumes\, over-the-top characters\, hilarious hijinks\, and plenty of audience participation (get those boos and cheers ready!). \nIn true panto tradition\, expect big laughs\, cheeky jokes\, and some unexpected surprises as our mischievous green grump tries to steal Christmas from the merry folks of Whoville. Will the power of community\, kindness\, and holiday spirit be enough to save the day? (Spoiler: with your help\, it just might be!) \nPerfect for kids\, parents\, grandparents\, and anyone who loves a good giggle\, this is holiday entertainment at its most magical. Whether it’s your first panto or your fiftieth\, GRINCHED! THE HOLIDAY PANTO is sure to become your new festive tradition. \nThree performances only – December 20 & 21 at the Algonquin Theatre!\nDon’t miss the merriest mischief in Muskoka this holiday season.
