Huntsville Festival of the Arts 2024 Summer Season

Looking for fun summer entertainment? The Huntsville Festival of the Arts has you covered!

From summer sounds and sing-alongs to belly laughs and more, the 32nd Huntsville Festival of the Arts summer season delivers an exciting tapestry of music, art, and community spirit to suit every taste!

Get your summer groove on

From local bands to household names, the HfA summer season guarantees a toe-tapping, sing-your-heart-out good time.

Beatles fans will love the Art of Time Ensemble Performs Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Featuring a 12-piece orchestra and vocals from Canadian pop icons Steven Page (Barenaked Ladies founding member), Chris Murphy (Sloan), Andy Maize (Skydiggers), and Jeremy Fisher (JUNO-nominated singer-songwriter), you can re-experience what Rolling Stone calls “the most important rock and roll album ever made.”

Continue your adventure through musical history as The Piano Men featuring John Witter bring you the timeless classics of Billy Joel and Elton John; take a nostalgic trip down memory lane with Dreaming of the ‘80s, featuring Kevin Hearn of Barenaked Ladies and violin virtuoso Hugh Marsh; celebrate Broadway classics like West Side Story, Chorus Line, and Les Misérables at Some Enchanted Evening; or listen to local talent Christina Hutt channel The Spirit of Patsy Cline, one of music’s most unique voices. And if you love to sing along to Madonna, Bon Jovi, Whitney Houston, or Prince in the car, the shower, or anywhere else, you’re going to love Choir! Choir! Choir!’s Epic ‘80s Sing-Along.

Prepare to be dazzled when the art of drag meets the serenity of cottage country at Cottage Country Drag Weekend! Drag kings and queens take the stage during this can’t-miss event.

Plus, Canadian stars like the Jim Cuddy Band and Natalie McMaster & Donnell Leahy take to the Algonquin Theatre stage this summer, too, with all of your favourite tunes.

And there’s even more! Check out the full music lineup at huntsvillefestival.ca.

Bring on the laughs

Yuk Yuk’s On Tour, comes to Huntsville for three shows this summer, and Girls’ Nite Out Improv, featuring a cast of Canadian Comedy Award winners, Second City alum and CBC comedy darlings, hosted by Elvira Kurt. Some of Canada’s funniest ladies will have you in stitches!

Fun after the sun goes down

You’ve been to the drive-in … but how about the boat-in? Movie on the Docks offers you the unique experience of watching a movie on the big screen — from your boat or floatie! Head to Huntsville’s scenic downtown waterfront to catch a classic film on a double-sided screen. Don’t have a boat? Watch from the docks for a unique under-the-stars experience — don’t forget a chair and a blanket or sleeping bag. Best of all, it’s free!

And perennial fan favourite Nuit Blanche North — the ultimate street festival — returns July 20. This bold, interactive multi-arts festival takes over the streets and parks of Downtown Huntsville for one night only. From 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., Huntsville’s core comes alive with buskers, interactive artistic activities, and exhibits. It’s free to attend!
