Mama’s SUP Night

July 4, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Stand Up Paddleboarding

Mama’s night out on the SUP board! This evening will be a great way to come together with a group of like minded Mama’s and take the focus off serving our family for a moment — and taking a moment to relax and light up ourselves for an evening! And of course add in a fun way to get some fitness into our lives!

Details:
Meet at Algonquin Outfitters to be out on the water by 6:45pm. Bring your own board or rent one for $20 (payment is handled by AO). There are 12 boards and it is first come first serve so the earlier the better to reserve your spot! We’ll have the hour or so to paddle and explore and make our way back for 7:45/8pm.

Not really sure what to wear…don’t worry I’ve got you! If you’ve never tried SUP before, then be prepared to fall in – not saying that will happen, just be prepared for it (extra change of clothes in the car wouldn’t be a bad idea). Workout clothes are great because of the moisture-wicking fabrics. Really anything that doesn’t have excessive fabric. Bathing suits are for sure welcome but not necessary.

We would like to respectfully acknowledge that we are on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, specifically the Chippewa, Ojibwa and Potawatomi peoples, under the terms of the Robinson-Huron Treaty #61 of 1850, and the Williams Treaties of 1923.

We are grateful to be here. We hope you are too.

Together, we honour all Indigenous peoples – First Nations, Métis and Inuit – for their cultures, their languages, their wise teachings and ways of being, their stewardship and protection of the lands and waters - and life - that have shaped this country since time began.

Together, we commit to acknowledge, to learn, to educate, to create opportunity and to honour sacred places, and to take actions toward real Truth and Reconciliation in support of our commitment to wellness for all, and to walking the path together in respect, peace and harmony for future generations.

G’chi miigwech. Thank you very much.
