Funky Fridays – Huntsville SnowFest

January 24 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Get ready to light up your winter nights at Funky Fridays, the coolest event of SnowFest at River Mill Skating Rink in Huntsville, Muskoka! Every Friday, this family-friendly extravaganza transforms the ice into a glowing dance floor where you can groove to the latest hits spun by DJ Chris Jones. Lace up your skates and don your brightest neon outfit for an unforgettable glow-in-the-dark skating party. As you glide across the rink, you’ll be surrounded by the magic of black lights, turning every twist and turn into a dazzling display. But that’s not all! Our friendly staff will be on hand to add some extra sparkle to your night with face painting, glow necklaces, and a special glow-in-the-dark photo booth to capture your radiant memories. And for all you lovebirds out there, mark your calendars for our Valentine’s Day special. We’re turning up the romance with over 1,000 battery-powered candles, creating a breathtaking backdrop for a skate with your sweetheart. Whether you’re showing off your moves or just enjoying the vibrant atmosphere, Funky Fridays is the perfect way to add some pizzazz to your winter weekends. We would like to respectfully acknowledge that we are on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, specifically the Chippewa, Ojibwa and Potawatomi peoples, under the terms of the Robinson-Huron Treaty #61 of 1850, and the Williams Treaties of 1923.

We are grateful to be here. We hope you are too.

Together, we honour all Indigenous peoples – First Nations, Métis and Inuit – for their cultures, their languages, their wise teachings and ways of being, their stewardship and protection of the lands and waters - and life - that have shaped this country since time began.

Together, we commit to acknowledge, to learn, to educate, to create opportunity and to honour sacred places, and to take actions toward real Truth and Reconciliation in support of our commitment to wellness for all, and to walking the path together in respect, peace and harmony for future generations.

G’chi miigwech. Thank you very much.
