Canada Day Celebration

Canada Day Band

Come celebrate Canada Day on Monday, July 1, in the Town of Huntsville with free admission to the museum and pioneer village at Muskoka Heritage Place, games and music at River Mill Park and evening fireworks over Hunters Bay.


Canada Day Schedule

9:30am – 4pm — Muskoka Heritage Place

  • Free Pioneer Village admission with donation – non-perishable food item going towards Salvation Army Huntsville
  • Performance by Neil Hutchinson – Acoustic Canadiana
  • 10am: Welcome from the Mayor and Canada Day Cupcakes *while supplies last
  • Ongoing: Fun for the family – Scavenger Hunt, Cattail Dolls, Early Games and more!
  • Special guests – members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police
  • Strawberry Scone Social *while supplies last
  • 11:30, 12:15, 1:00, 1:45, 2:30, 3:15: Portage Flyer Train: Steam up Day (regular fees apply)

11am – 2pm — Port Sydney Beach

  • Barbecue
  • Performance by Cameron of Lochiel Pipes and Drums

  • 3pm-5pm: Lawn Games and Live Music with Briar Summers
  • 3pm-9pm: Canvas Brewery Beverage Garden
  • 7pm-9pm: Join Tobin Spring at The Muskoka Music Crawl ‘Campfire Session’ presented by Huntsville Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce

10pm — Over Hunters Bay

  • Fireworks (if the weather and fire ban status allow)
